CROWDER, Louis J.

VEEDERSBURG – Louis J. Crowder, 23, 109 Sherman St., Veedersburg, died instantly of head and internal injuries in a one-car crash 9:10 a.m. Friday night on US 41. Crowder, alone, was southbound on US 41 four miles south of US 136 when his auto veered off the left side of the highway and struck a tree. State trooper William Burnworth reported the auto was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the road. Fountain County Coroner Robert Shelby assisted in the investigation. Born in Yeddo on Oct. 17, 1946, Mr. Crowder was the son of John H. and Artie Elliott Crowder. He was married Dec. 6, 1965, to Carol Odeneal of Covington. He was an employe of General Motors Corp., in Danville, Ill.  Surviving with the widow are a son, Kevin, 3 his parents, and a brother, Harold, of Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by a five-month-old daughter in May, 1968.  Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, ==============
